Silly Silas tights have become a favorite with parents for one simple reason: they stay up. Why the braces matter
Ordinary tights rely on an elastic waistband, which tends to slip on babies and toddlers. Silly Silas tights add a strap over each shoulder, so the waist stays where it should. That means less tugging and fewer stops to pull them back up, whether your child is at the park or at a family party.
Organic cotton, made in the Czech Republic
Silly Silas tights are made from GOTS-certified organic cotton and produced in the Czech Republic. The cotton is soft on delicate skin and sturdy enough for everyday play. Some styles, like the Shorty, also carry OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class 1 certification and are made by Czech artisans.
Three styles to choose from
- Footless tights. Leggings-style tights with braces, great with shoes or barefoot. Try the Oyster Grey Striped for an everyday neutral. From the SS26 Dreamy Pastels line, the Lavender x Cream Striped and Matcha x Peanut Striped use a slightly thicker knit.
- Checkered tights. The Organic Cotton Checkered Tights in Black are a bold, graphic pattern that works with dresses and rompers.
- Shorty. A shorter version for warmer days or for layering under dresses. Choose from Lavender, Seaweed Brown and Light Brown Striped.
Sizes
Sizes depend on the style. Across the range we carry, sizes run from 6-12 months up to 3-4 years. The checkered tights come in 6-12m, 2-3y and 3y; the Shorty comes in 1-2Y and 2-3Y; the footless styles run from 1-2y, with the SS26 pastels going up to 3-4Y. Wear and care
Machine wash inside out at 40°C. Don't use bleach and don't tumble dry. Silly Silas tights are not sleepwear, and as with any clothing with straps, don't leave your child unattended while wearing them.
How to style them
Silly Silas tights pair easily with dresses, rompers, shorts and everyday outfits. The Lavender Shorty and the Lavender x Cream footless tights look sweet together across siblings, or with a soft pastel dress. Striped and checkered pairs add a playful touch to a simple outfit.
